Hotel booking like Travel Lodge/ Air B&B. These have often got me out of a sticky situation when I have had noweher to stay overnight.
Maps. Such as Google maps. This will help you get anywhere. Google maps has things like bus stops you can zoom in and get the bus number and times. Although it’s best to go into the bus or train app to get proper times as often this is not right on Google, but a real help if your not local.
Messaging app like What’s App for cheaper videos and chats, also encrypted
Music- offline. Such as Spotify, but most of them you have to pay for if you want anything offline.
Online books from someone like Google play, or Apple books offline, again you will have to pay for this privelege but some books can be very cheap and are great to have on your phone when you are stuck somewhere and want to look at your phone but there’s no internet
Photo app from Google photos or the like
Secure locked folder on your phone, There is a “Safe Folder” in your files that you can lock files away into. Make sure you keep your password somewhere safe as I’m not sure what happens if you can’t remember it.(just don’t put that into the locked folder!!)
Stop watch, timer. Wake you up when you fall asleep on the train, keep an eye on time running away!
Task management– Loads such as motion, todoist, so many to help you keep control of the day
TV/films offline– Such as Netflix or YouTube, again you have to pay for offline but something like this will rescue you when you are away from home, no elec, no internet, can be a saviour
Voi- For when you need to grab a quick scoot somewhere
Weather app, loads of good ones that cover the UK. Also accu weather gives you a map run down of how the weather is doing in the next hour. Watch the rain!
Work Agency apps like Indeed Flex– for agency work. Sign up to Indeed Flex and be a freelancer. I have been with Flex for 3 years on and off, between jobs, working anything from a cleaner to a driver to working at a music festival!! It has saved me from starvation a few times!! If you have a car you can travel to jobs, but you are very black marked if you don’t turn up to a job you book.
