How much stuff are you going to take with you, will you need storage

Do you need a separate phone number.

Have you got a phone that has a hotspot toggle so you can watch telly in your new home from your tablet/laptop, in case you have no telly set up yet.

Do you need to have a locked files app on your phone for security.

Finances

Where is your income going to come from, are you working

How much money have you got available

Will this last for 6 months

Have you got your own bank account

Secret Moves

Have an address where letters can be posted to, such as a friend who has agreed or a P.O. Box, or maybe your place of work.

Keep your important information safe and close to you or in a safe location

Try things out independently (or secretly).

Never let anyone know you are “solo” on your own etc. You don’t know who to trust to start with,

Where are you going to live. Will you have access to showers, toilet, electricity of some kind (battery). Sleeping area including warmth.

Make sure you have your lifelines with you at all times such as your mobile phone, tablet.

For things like getting your clothes washed and ironed if you haven’t organised these, look on the internet for local services.

And finally if you are doing this all on your own and have few resources, find out where your local library is and visit it, get to know the room set up and where the computers are, and sign up for a library card, which needs your ID with your address on, so if you are going to live in the same area or can come back to this library just sign up with the address you already have. This gives you computers to use free of charge and many more resources.
